A great way to see wildlife up close and personal from the surface of the sea
Kayaking in the far-flung corners of the world is an experience guaranteed to refresh your soul. Led by experienced guides, paddling in small groups allows us the opportunity to paddle between ice floes, brash ice and icebergs of all shapes and sizes as well as allowing easy and intimate access to beautiful coastlines in some of the world's most remote destinations. Even the smallest piece of brash ice requires a navigation decision that you as skipper of your own little boat will be required to make. Bumping through the ice, gliding across a glassy bay with the mountains and glaciers reflected in the water, or close encounters with wildlife are experiences shared by sea kayakers. The local conditions will determine the exact unfolding of each excursions. Each kayaking excursion will be approximately one and a half hours in duration, depending on the weather conditions. To take part in the kayaking program in the Polar regions, participants must have some previous kayaking experience. The sea kayaking option should be added at the time of booking and, due to its great popularity, is generally not available for booking onboard the vessel.
